Snow Shoe Weather
Current
information *******
******
Weekend cancelled - Mike got stuck trying to get onto the camp
road and walked down to camp for a shovel. He left his at home!
I showed up about 20 minutes later and dug out his car then
backed it out of the road. I tried to get down but there was no
traction. 2 to 4 inches of crust with 10 inches or so of powder
underneath. I got stuck several times before I even got to the
snowmobile trail (firebreak). Mike came walking up while I was
trying to drive down. We bagged it and headed home. Maybe in a
couple weeks if the groundhog's prediction comes true.********
First
comments for upcoming trip on the weekend of Feb 4-5-6 of 2001,
depending on weather of course. Right now, Jan 25th, it looks a
little snowy for this week on the coastal areas of the east .
We'll have to keep close watch on the weather through and
including the trip weekend.
So far names
are Mike & Draven and possibly Terri, Joe & Sean, Steve, with Rich possible and maybe
Frank and/or Bill.
Chuck
probably won't make it.
Steve - I'm
planning on heading up Thursday late morning or early afternoon
if all goes well and the snow isn't too bad.
No food stuff
listed yet. Emails on food cover:
Joe - I'll
bring stuff for Saturday morning and some snacks - I can bring
buns for burgers and dogs
Mike -
THE WIFE SAID SHE
MIGHT GO. SHE WILL MAKE HAMBURGERS AND HOT DOGS FOR FRI. AND
LASAGNA AND SALAD SAT.
Steve - I'll bring a gallon can
of chili for Sat lunch and breakfast sandwiches (egg McMuffin
type) for Sunday morning.
That covers the basics and I'm sure there will be snacks and
sweet stuff in abundance.
